The UCI Urban Cycling World Championships is now entering its 9th year on the UCI calendar, with its debut event taking place in 2017 in Chengu, China.

Over the last decade, city centers have become platforms for urban cyclists and the development of the sport. Involving 3 disciplines: BMX freestyle park (the newest Olympic discipline with a premiere in Tokyo 2020), BMX Freestyle Flatland and MTB Trials, this event is set to attract impressive spectator numbers and has already proven extremely popular with the younger audience.
