Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships

Each year, a mix of established players and rising stars on the men’s ATP and women’s WTA Tour gather in Japan for the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships.

First held in 1972, the ATP 500 tournament is longest-running ATP tournament in Asia. Previously used for the Tokyo Olympics, the tournament is held in the Ariake Colosseum, an expansive tennis centre comprising 48 courts and a stadium with one of the first retractable roofs in tennis.The WTA 250 tournament shares a rich history and has been held in a women-only format since 2009. Attracting some of the top female tennis players from around the world, including three-time winner Samantha Stosur, and takes place in Osaka a month after the men’s tournament.
