Our relationship with Rugby World Cup began in 1995 and will continue until post 2019. By supporting RWC in its early years, in areas such as sponsorship, commercial ticketing, television rights distribution and licensing, IMG has helped RWC grow enormously; indeed, the most recent tournament in 2007 attracted a cumulative TV audience of 4.3 billion viewers, making it the world's third most watched sporting event behind the FIFA World Cup and the Summer Games.
