Rugby is a fast-growing, popular sport played in more than 100 countries across five continents. In 2007, the IRB Rugby World Cup already attracted a cumulative TV audience of 4.3 billion, making it the third most watched sporting event in the world. With Rugby Sevens’ entry into the Olympic Games in 2016, the sport is poised to grow even faster.

IMG is rugby’s largest commercial advisor, working with many of the most prestigious Union and League properties in the world.

Our relationship with Rugby World Cup began in 1995 and will continue until post 2019. IMG supports RWC in many areas, including sponsorship, commercial ticketing, television rights distribution and licensing.

In addition, we manage media rights for many Union and League properties, sponsorship rights for teams in the Southern Hemisphere, and represent some of the brightest young stars playing the game today.
