Multi-Platform Delivery Brings Premium Sports Content to a Mass Online Audience

SNTV, the world’s leading television sports video news agency, announced today the launch of SNTV Digital, which will officially go live on October 1, 2011, enabling publishers and broadcasters to easily and seamlessly integrate premium sports news video content with their existing digital editorial and commercial systems.
SNTV Digital is a comprehensive set of three digital video products covering football, all sports and key events, available 24 hours a day seven days a week, and available in a full range of technical formats and delivery options including online, mobile, tablet devices and connected TVs. The range of products enables digital media owners to better meet the needs of the end consumer by offering worldwide sports news and highlights across platforms, wherever the audience wants to consume the content. The products are also available for broadcasters wishing to receive broadcast-quality content, with High Definition (‘HD’) broadcast-quality delivery available from January 2012.
All content is available as ready-to-publish clips of 60-90 seconds duration and available with voice-over if clients prefer. In addition, the content is available as ‘raw’ edits of two-four minutes if clients wish to adapt the content – mirroring SNTV’s existing broadcast content.  As with all SNTV content, native tongue sound bites are secured wherever possible.
The service can be received by direct download, ftp, or via an embeddable player which clients can easily integrate with their own ad-serving solutions.  This means that publishers and broadcasters can now directly monetize sports content through advertising across multiple platforms, either directly via their sales teams or via an ad funded pre-monetized player.
SNTV has selected Rightster AVS to architect and deliver the new service. In addition, Rightster AVS is providing SNTV with a range of advanced services and use of its real-time video distribution and rights management system.

Martin Kay, Managing Director of SNTV said, “SNTV Digital brings all the breadth and editorial quality of SNTV to broadcasters and digital publishers. We are investing in additional digital rights and global newsgathering to extend our market-leading services, and have ensured we’ve built a service that delivers on clients editorial and technical needs.
“We believe our B2B focus is a major advantage,” Kay continued. “Our mission is to provide the most relevant sports news to our customers, in the most useful ways. Our customers – broadcasters, digital publishers, mobile operators – know their audience, so we’ve deliberately created SNTV Digital from our agency perspective, with a full range of content, delivery, and monetization options for them to choose from.”
