Recently Reached Career High Ranking No. 52 on the WTA Tour

Global sports, fashion and media company IMG Worldwide announced today that it signed Serbian tennis player, Bojana Jovanovski, ranked world No. 59 and one of the youngest players in the top 100 on the WTA, for management and representation.

Jovanovski, 19, started the 2011 season by reaching the semi-finals of the Medibank International in Sydney after having to go through qualifying, and reached the second round of the 2011 Australian Open the following week.

In 2010, Jovanovski played her first WTA tournament, the Malaysian Open, and her first Grand Slam at Wimbledon reaching the second round.  She made her professional debut in 2006 on the ITF Tour and has a career singles won-loss record of 128-65. She has won four ITF singles titles and played for the Serbia Fed Cup team in 2009 and 2010.

Fernando Soler, Head of Global IMG Tennis, said, “We are very pleased Bojana selected IMG to represent her.  She is just beginning her ascent up the women’s tour rankings and we expect her to be a truly exciting young player to watch develop and mature into a winning professional player in the future.”

“I am delighted to become part of the IMG family and use their global resources and expertise to my advantage,” added Jovanovski. “I look forward to taking my game to the next level and I am thrilled to be doing it under the guidance of IMG.”

Jovanovski will be managed by Olivier Van Lindonk in the IMG Tennis division.
